Social media is an area I struggle with on a regular basis. I have yet to pinpoint the main reason, but have a few ideas why. The main thing is that I work on learning more and getting better. Along the way I have found a few awesome social media plugins for WordPress. Using these plugins has made my life a little easier – each in its own way. Just wanted to share them in case they might make your life a little easier too.
5 of the Best Social Media Plugins
This is a new one for me. The idea is that you can make certain text within your content tweetable. Let’s say you have a quote or a really good line in your latest post that you want to be tweeted by your readers. Using click to tweet they will be able to… well click to tweet! Simple and easy to use.
Besides installing the plugin to use on your site, you can also sign in with your Twitter account or use the basic link creator.
This plugin allows you to make #hashtags clickable within your content. Your readers can click the hashtag in your content and see tweets using it.
To use this plugin you need to register on their site to get the publisher ID required for set up. Then, it’s as simple as adding hashtags just like you would in a tweet: HASHCORE #FTW
Jetpack is full of great features for your website. In terms of social media there is a “Publicize” feature that allows you to push new blog posts to your social media profiles.
After installing the plugin you need to connect with a WordPress.com account – made easy by Jetpack with a one-click process (if you already have a wordpress account, if not it’s easy to create one.)
There are a lot of people who like to push new content to their social medias manually and at different times. They have a system; it works for them. I find I have a hard time remembering which to post to when. This set up works better for me.
This is one of many options available to make your content shareable — making it easy for your readers to share your content with their networks on whatever social media platforms they are on.
Once this plugin is installed there are six easy to follow set up steps. After set-up, the social media platforms you’ve chosen will display on your posts and/or pages.
Make sure your readers can connect with you! This plug-in makes it really easy to let your readers know where else they can find you.
This plugin creates an option for widget areas on your site. Once installed, drag to the desired widget area, input your profile links, customize as you wish and save.
