“It’s all an evolution.”
This has been a catch phrase of a client of mine since we started working together. I’ve come to realise that she is 100% right!
It was only a handful of years ago that I began my journey as a Virtual Assistant. My first client needed help with general administrative work. As I became more comfortable with working online, and running my own business in general, my responsibilities grew. So did my client base. After a few unexpected forks in the road my business has evolved into something totally unexpected (and it’s pretty awesome!).
Of course there have been ups and downs along the way. I’ve tried to learn from both and keep moving forward. I love every minute of this evolution and try not to take for granted how fortunate I am to be creating a business (and life) I can be proud of.
My Business Approach:
There are two things you should know
- I am an introvert.
There, I said it. I’m not shy. I’m not bitchy. I’m not hard to get along with. There isn’t anything “wrong” with me. I am a “person who is energized by being alone”. I am an introvert. While many people take this to be a negative attribute, I say it with confidence. I am comfortable with who I am and believe the power of my introversion is an asset to myself and my clients.
One benefit my introversion brings to the table is the ability to work through the tasks that many find overwhelming (boring? claw-your-eyes-out-tedious?). Almost the opposite, my brain is hard wired and at its happiest when getting these tasks done. Get me something to organize and all is right with the world, mine and yours!
Another asset my introversion brings is balance. My ‘get one thing done, one step at a time’ approach paired with a client’s ‘here are all my ideas for world domination’ might just be unstoppable. At the very least I’ve found it to be productive.
So, rather than run from it I will embrace my introvert and put her to work for you.
- I have a unique mindset.
I have been fortunate over the past few years to have worked with some very interesting clients. While I’ve learned from them all, one particular project struck a chord for me. It has given me a unique mindset about how I want to do business. For me it is about much more than getting things off your to-do list. It is about
- Thinking about what’s in it for both of us to have a successful relationship
- Investing brain power into how to make your life easier
- Working together as a team to accomplish goals
- Having a sense of pride in what I’m doing
Yes, I want to work *with* clients. Yes, I want to help you achieve your goals. Yes, I want to achieve my goals. I want to go beyond all of that.
I truly believe that we can get further ahead together than we can alone. My vision is to put this into action to build better relationships and get more done.
My Question for You:
Are you ready to harness your feelings of overwhelm into productivity?
We can work together to identify what problems are causing the overwhelm, strategize how we can overcome the issue(s), and implement action steps to get things done.
